I worked in a high pressure corporate position for over 20 years. After 2 years of cancer treatment I wanted my life to be as simple, healthy and stress free as possible. Soon I found I had spare time to get back into training…something I had let slide since my daughter was born. I started with 30 min. small group training sessions (ICE) 1 – 2 times a week. As I began to feel the benefits from this, I introduced 2 x 45 min. resistance training sessions into my week and dropped ICE back to once a week….a total of 2 hours at the gym per week.
I spent many years honing my eating to include less sugar, less dairy, and when I had cancer I learned about the importance of eating mainly plant foods. Improving my nutrition was next on my hit list, so I could get the best bang for my buck from all of the time I as putting into exercise. I learned how to create a set of goals, what to eat, when to eat, how to replace old habits with new habits, and how taking a little time to plan and prepare my food gave me more time during the week – taking the guess work away, making my life simple and giving me a body I’m now proud of.
This is the program that I want to share with anyone who has reached a “snap” point in their life, like I did with cancer.
